Sarah Sanford is an actor and director based in Philadelphia. A member of Pig Iron Theatre Company since 2002, she has performed in Shut Eye, The Lucia Joyce Cabaret, Hell Meets Henry Halfway (Obie Award, 2004), Love Unpunished, and 365 Plays/365 Days. Other Philadelphia credits include the Wilma Theater, the Lantern Theater, and BRAT Productions (where she alternated playing two different characters in a 24-hour version of The Bald Soprano). She also acts and directs in Toronto, and her original dance-theatre creation Appetite won for "Best Emerging Director" at the 2006 SummerWorks festival. Upcoming work includes Othello (Lantern), a new work by Norway's Jo Stromgren (Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, '08), and an '09 Toronto run of Appetite. Sarah is a graduate of École International de Théatre Jacques Lecoq.
