Edward "Ted" Melillo chronicles the first "Green Revolution" from 1840 to 1930

The October 2012 issue of the American Historical Review features an article by Edward "Ted" Melillo, '97, on the Green Revolution from the 1840s to the 1930s. Melillo is a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University's The Bill Lane Center for the American West currently completing his forthcoming book, Strangers on Familiar Soil: Rediscovering the Chile-California Connection, 1786-2008. Melillo will return to Amherst College in the fall, where he is an Assistant Professor of History and Environmental Studies.
