The Friends Historical Library image collection contains approximately 60,000 photographs and other visual resources that document the history of the Society of Friends and its concerns. The Library also holds significant collections of audio-visual materials, microforms, original art works, and memorabilia; access to these materials is entirely through manual files in the Library.
Access to images is also through an in-house database, so researchers interested in pictorial resources are urged to visit the Library. A selection of engravings, photographs, and other pictures is available on-line, through Triptych, a joint tri-college digital initiative of the Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore College Libraries.
Information about digital policies and obtaining copies is available on-line and in the Library.
Any specific questions about reproduction or use should be directed to Christopher Densmore, Curator of Friends Historical Library.
