Avid Runner and Researcher at the Children's Hospital
Since graduating Swarthmore in 2010, I have been living in Philadelphia and doing immunology research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At CHOP, I perform in vivo research with a mouse model of Macrophage Activation Syndrome, which is a serious and sometimes deadly illness that can be a complication of many autoimmune diseases. Next year I will apply to graduate schools, although I am not sure exactly what I'm going to study yet.
In January 2012, I ran Chilly Cheeks Trail Run together with my West Philly Runners group. There I ran into Dr. Liliya Yatsunyk and Dr. Maria Newport. It was so nice to see familiar faces from Swarthmore!
