For this course participants must have attended the NLA workshop before or must
have a significant background in linguistics. There is an additional fee for
course credit.
Course credit is available through the University of New Mexico Department of Linguistics. UNM normally charges $414.15 for 3 hours of undergraduate credit or $455.40 for 3 hours of graduate credit. HOWEVER, at the present time we do not know the exact UNM charges yet but we expect them to be something like $250.00 for a 3-hour course. [This is wonderful and quite a savings from the original figure we received.] The NLA however does regret that it does not have funds to cover these expenses.
Students who need UNM credit can arrange hours of credit with their instructors.
Each of our courses can be taken for 1-2 credits, but with a maximum of 6 credits
for the workshop.
