Books for purchase

This is an extensive booklist, but many of these works are somewhat less expensive than the standard trade paperback, so it should not be too burdensome to buy. I strongly suggest purchasing these works from the bookstore, but most will also be on General Reserve in McCabe Library.

Michel-Rolph Trouillot, Silencing the Past: Power and the Production of History

Marc Bloch, The Historian's Craft

Larry Gonick, The Cartoon History of the United States

Samuel Delaney, Tales of Neveryon

Edward Linenthal, ed., History Wars: The Enola Gay and Other Battles for the American Past

Richard Handler and Eric Gable, The New History in an Old Museum

James Loewen, The Truth About Columbus: A Subversively True Poster Book for a Dubiously Celebratory Occasion

Robert Lee Civil War reen Hadden, Reliving the Civil War: A Re-enactor's Handbook
