ENDANGERED
LANGUAGES

K. DAVID HARRISON

Fieldwork: Tofa June 2001

Tofa is a Siberian Turkic language, now moribund and spoken by only about 25 persons. I made the first digital video recordings of this language, and have collected many stories and personal narratives. In collaboration with Dr. Greg Anderson, I am currently transcribing these material and writing a grammar of Tofa. This work funded by a grant from VolkswagenStiftung.
