Kallawaya is a "secret" language used by a group of Bolivian herbalists, the traditional healers to the Inka. They have passed this language down from father to son (or grandfather to grandson) for the over 400 years after the fall of the Inka empire. The language is used to document knowledge of their over 1,000 medicinal plants, but can also be used to express everyday thoughts.
