My primary research interests are in the areas of semantics and pragmatics of natural language, as well as in rhetoric and discourse coherence. The theme of my research is context dependence of temporal expressions (e.g. tense, aspect, adverbials, discourse particles). I have also worked on the phonetics, phonology and documentation of Osage and have ongoing interests in the structure of Russian and comparative Slavic.
