Goods and Services


Objectives:
1) recognize and demonstrate the differences between goods and services in a collage

Materials:
Magazines
Posterboard/large pieces of paper
Glue
Scissors
Markers


Activities:

1) Intro- warm-up? Reviewing definition of goods and services. What are some goods and services you consume? How do we categorize them?
2) Students will then break up into small groups of four. Using materials provided, students will make a collage showing examples of goods and services and differentiating between them. Some examples may be considered both a good and a service.
3) Students will present them. Explain/Answer questions??
4) Closing activity-Round About-Each student will be quickly asked what their family’s last purchase was and to classify it as a good/service/both. Teacher will make a tally on the board and make comment on results. Assign homework.

Evaluation:
1) Collage, group work/presentation
2) Homework: Make a list of 20 purchases your parents/guardians make and categorize them as goods, services, or both.
