GIRL'S BASKETBALL CAMP
Girls from the SRA league decorate a poster for the Swarthmore College women's basketball team during the Centennial Conference Championship game.
Swat Shot is first and foremost a teaching camp. It has been established to instruct the fundamentals of the game of basketball to young girls in the region. Aside from the emphasis placed on learning the skills, the camp staff is focused on creating a fun and constructive learning environment for the campers.
Swarthmore College provides the best possible facilities for Swat Shot. The camp will take place in Tarble Pavilion, the court where the varsity basketball teams at Swarthmore practice and compete. The wooden court, just two years old, is one of the best courts in the region.
The camp will provide teaching for two different age groups, the NCAA (ages 8-11) and the WNBA (ages 12-15). Pick up for the NCAA will take place in the lobby just outside the Tarble Pavilion at 1:00 pm. Pick up for the WNBA will take place at 4:00 pm. Camp begins promptly at 9:00 for both groups of campers.
Parents should contact Camp Director, Adrienne Shibles at (610)328-8089 or at ashible1@swarthmore.edu with additional questions or concerns surrounding the Swat Shot Basketball Camp.
