Adrienne Shibles

Head Coach

Coach Shibles enters her sixth year as Head Coach of the Garnet. A 1991 graduate of Bates College in Maine, Shibles captained the team for two years. She left Bates a 1000 point scorer and the all-time leading rebounder. Following her graduation from Bates, Shibles coached at Babson College(MA), Colby College(ME), and Elms College(MA) before landing the head job at Swarthmore. She also spent two years as the Assistant Soccer Coach at Smith College, where she earned her Master's degree in the graduate program of Exercise and Sports Studies.

In just five years of coaching women's basketball at Swarthmore, Shibles has improved the program in dramatic fashion. In 2000-2001 the Garnet won their first Centennial Conference championship, and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Their 23-5 record shattered the school record for most wins in a season. Shibles was named the Russell Athletic/WBCA District 4 Coach of the Year in March of 2001.

Adrienne Shibles resides in Media, PA with her husband, Kirk Daulerio (Swarthmore, '95) and their labrador retriever, Moxie.
