Amy Brunner begins her third season as head coach at Swarthmore College. She also runs the Intramural program for the college. In her first year, Amy led the young Garnet to a 7 -12 record, the most wins the school has had in 10 years. The team also tied the mark for most assists in a season. They followed that with a 4 - 12 year in '00. Amy received her Masters in Exercise and Sport Studies at Smith College in Massachusetts where she worked as the Assistant Soccer and Basketball Coach. Prior to her graduate work, she was the Interim Head Coach for Soccer and Basketball at Knox College in Illinois. A former goalkeeper at Bates College in Maine, Amy still holds several goal keeping records and helped lead her team to an ECAC championship in 1991. In 1993 she was honored as an NSCAA All-American Player, and also selected as the Adidas Goalie of the Year. Amy holds the NSCAA National Diploma, having passed with distinction and is going for the Advanced Diploma this summer.
Richard
Tchen

Richard Tchen
enters his second season as the assistant at Swarthmore College this
fall. He graduated from Swarthmore College in 1996, majoring in
mathematics and concentrating in Environmental Studies, then
certified to teach secondary level mathematics. He has since worked
for the Math Forum, an online math education center. Richard has
played organized soccer with recreational and intramural leagues and
at the junior varsity and varsity levels throughout middle school,
high school, and college. He will be going for his NSCAA National
Diploma this summer.
Kirstin
Bass
Biology and
Biochemistry, Swarthmore College 2003
Kirstin will be a
Junior at Swarthmore this fall. She hails from Plymouth, NH where she
attended The Holderness School. She participated on the team the past
two years but is recovering from a back injury and thus will be
training our keepers this year. She will also be a Resident Assistant
for the college.
