Assistant Coach Greg Pierce 
Assistant Coach Greg Pierce joins the Swarthmore staff after a very successful six-year stint as an assistant coach at Ursinus College (1994-2000). He is well-known throughout the tri-state area as a top-notch recruiter. His knowledge of the high school recruiting circuit including exposure camps, blue-chip shoot-outs, and AAU tournaments, will be a big plus for the program. Pierce began his college coaching career in 1993 as an assistant coach at Gwynedd Mercy College, where he led the team to a 3 - 3 mark during a brief stint as acting head coach. He has spent many summers working as a basketball instructor for high profile college camps in the Philadelphia area and has recently become the director of his own basketball shooting camp, Camp Neumann, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Pierce holds a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University (Biology -1976) and a master's degree from Villanova University (Molecular Biology -1978). He is currently employed as a research scientist in the residue metabolism department of Rohm & Haas Co., in Spring House, Pennsylvania. |
