Software: TBD; probably Mathematica plus demos from the text's CD and other sources. A calculator will help, and can be used on exams.

Course requirements and grading:
  Grades will depend on a final exam (35%), two other main exams (25% each), and several smaller quizzes and graded problem sets (15% total). There will be frequent ungraded homework, on which collaboration is encouraged.
