However, very little research has been done on neural development due to lead exposure. We will study how different concentrations of lead affect chick development at an earlier embryo age than Anwer, et al (Anwer, et al 1988). Our experiment is new and innovative because we will study the neural development of chick embryos injected with lead acetate. The results obtained for chick embryos might be applicable to answer the questions of how and why humans are affected most severely in brain and nervous system development. For humans, neurological and cognitive behavioral deficits have been important results of lead exposure (Needleman et al., 1990).
