The building configuration extends the development envelope East and South into the quad. As a result, the northern loop drive East of Dupont must be shifted to the East, and the rugby field realigned to accommodate new construction.
New construction at the East face of Dupont creates a strong new architectural presence at the North Campus entry along Whittier Place.
Roadway realignment associated with new building construction accommodates a strong new pedestrian access from the Crum Woods, through the Trotter Quad, South to the heart of campus.
The location of the South building entry provides an opportunity for a loose interpretation of the existing campus north/south axis.
