Construction Beginning on Whittier Place began April 27, 2001, at Three and Five Whittier Place, preparing these buildings for the Math and Statistics Department which will be moving in for the duration of the project. Their wing in the present Dupont will be demolished at the end of Summer, 2001. Beginning Wednesday April 25th,the contractor began preparing the site for work. Excavation for a one-story link structure between the two buildings started the week of April 30. The bulk of the heavy equipment, deliveries and exterior work will occur during the first few weeks of the project.
The project is slated for a 7/27/01 completion date. Plans and additional information will soon be available at this location on the science project web site. Please stay tuned!
