Wine

Our wine tastes run the gamut from very dry to very sweet, from domestic to foreign, from white to red, but not too often rosé. Among our favorite whites are German Rieslings, Rhone whites (such as Marsanne, Rousanne, and Viognier), and the occasional full-blown Chardonnay. In reds, we are partial to Zinfandel, Syrah, Mourvedre, Pinot Noir, and Bordeaux-style blends.

Wherever we go, we like to visit wineries and wine shops. In Pennsylvania, we are limited to the State Stores. One of the better ones is in Ardmore, where they have a specialty section which is reasonably strong on domestic wines from California and Oregon. Bryn Mawr also has a good selection. Both Narberth and Devon have specialty shops with some decent selections. Make sure to look at the Chairman's Selections, as they are often very good values.

When we are visiting friends in other states, here's where we like to get wine to bring to them.
