Robin Smith ('03) won the department's special service award this year. Matt Landreman, Robin Smith, and Mark Romanowski (all '03) received honorable mentions in the NSF graduate school scholarship competition. Matt Landreman ('03) won a Rhodes scholarship. Abram Falk ('03) was a finalist in the Rhodes competition. Robin Smith ('03) won a Fulbright Scholarship. She's spending the year in France.
  • "I write with the sad news that William C. Elmore, Morris L. Clothier Professor Emeritus of Physics, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, at the age of 93."
