Polemonium is a speciose North American genus, and there seems to be some confusion as to names – a number of different species are all called Greek Valerian or Jacob’s Ladder. There’s even an alpine species, Polemonium pulcherrimum, in my home biome, the Olympic Mountains.
I found this patch of Polemonium reptans on the Martin Tract, up the Crum Creek north of Baltimore Pike.
