What he does:
- Jon Greenberg is a business analyst at McKinsey & Company's New York City office. His company helps business leaders address their long-term challenges (everything from reorganizing for extended growth to improving business performance and maximizing revenue.) As an analyst, he works on a project team looking at facts, providing analytical insights, framing hypotheses, developing recommendations, and making presentations to client leadership.
Math on the job:
- Statistical regression and other forms of data analysis comprise the vast majority of math used on the job.
Jon's background:
- Jon graduated from Swarthmore in 2006 with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. Then he spent several months traveling crosscountry in his car and backpacking across Southeast Asia before starting work in New York City for McKinsey.
Jon's advice to students:
- Swarthmore is a wonderful place with much to offer. Take your time and enjoy the ride.
