My main area of research involves enzyme reaction mechanisms. I taught Biochemistry here at Swarthmore College for 26 years before going on permanent sabbatical leave in 2004. I and my husband, Donald Voet, have written the text BIOCHEMISTRY now in its 3^rd edition and, along with Charlotte Pratt, the text FUNDAMENTALS OF BIOCHEMISTRY, now also in its 3^rd edition. I am also Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education (www.BAMBED.org). I have been a member of the Education and Professional Development Committee of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education Committee.
