The Hicks Mural Room

The murals in Hicks Hall were painted by James Egleson (class of 1929) in 1938.   The history of the mural was discussed in an article the Swarthmore Bulletin.

The mural in the room is shown in the image below left.  You can rotate or zoom in on the image using the controls that appear when the mouse is over the left image.  You can also rotate the perspective by dragging the mouse over the right image.  You can read the commentary written by James Egleson (the artist) in the window below -- the hyperlinks just below the images will scroll the text to the appropriate location.
