Make up your favorite recipe for TWO pumpkin pies and pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Take one box yellow cake mix (reserve 1 cup for topping) and sprinkle it (dry) over the pumpkin pie mixture. Cut one stick margarine thinly (have it cold) and lay the pieces over the entire cake powder. Combine the 1 cup reserved cake mix, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 c. margarine (not melted) and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts over all if desired.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Serve with whipped topping. I sometimes make a graham cracker crust in the bottom first, and add cinnamon and nutmeg to it.
