Biographical / Historical

Galway Monthly Meeting was established in 1802, set off from Saratoga Monthly Meeting. It was a part of Easton Quarterly until Saratoga Quarterly was established in 1815. The Orthodox branch of Galway Monthly met at Providence after 1828, and was laid down in 1836, members attached to Milton Monthly Meeting, to be called Greenfield Monthly Meeting. After 1847 the Hicksite branch met alternately at Galway, Greenfield, and Milton. This meeting was laid down in 1865, members attached to Saratoga Monthly Meeting.
