JOURNALS IN THE COLLECTIONS OF FRIENDS HISTORICAL LIBRARY

Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College has a large collection of Journals, the broad term which is also used to refer to diaries and daybooks. This inventory lists all the journals Friends Historical Library, including those in catalogued individually in MSS 003, Journal Collection, as well as volumes which are part of a larger collections and journal available in the Library on microfilm.

The journals are arranged alphabetically by creator. Anonymous journals are sorted by date. “MSS 003” refers to items stored in Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College Journal Collection; other call numbers refer to collections in Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College (e.g., RG5/001, ALLEN identifies George B. Allen’s Journal in the Allen Family Papers). Please refer to the inventory of the Allen Family Papers for an exact box location.
