*On week-ends and in the evenings, Student Assistants are on duty and have been trained to run the Circulation Desk and answer general reference questions. Feel free to contact the Science Librarian by phone or e-mail if you have a question or concern which cannot be answered by the students.
Cornell Library serves the science and engineering programs. With minor modifications, Cornell operates on the same schedule as McCabe and has virtually the same circulation rules. Science and engineering periodicals do not circulate except by special permission of the Science Librarian. For more circulation information, visit McCabe's Circulation page.
Main Floor: Circulation desk, reserves (both General & Honors), Xerox copier (with document feeder), reference section, printed indexes & abstracts, video collection, public scanner, Tripod terminals, public Macs for Tripod & the Web,, current periodicals (not all of them), seminar room, new ADA accessible toilet room.
Ground Floor: Periodical stacks (both open and compact shelving), individual study carrels for students w/ iMacs, one Dell PC with Web access Xerox Book copier, seminar room with access to a TV and VCR.
Top Floor: Book stacks, individual carrels, science fiction corner. This is the designated "quiet floor".
