A good place to look for organizations in the biological sciences.
 
BiochemNet
A resource directory for biology and chemistry. Offers access to class tutorials and simulations, lab safety resources, job listings and lots of other information linked to Biology and Chemistry. Now includes Biotech BiblioNet, which is a bibliography of recently published biotech articles. New citations remain online for four months. Also offers access to a good selection of molecular biology websites.

An interactive online resource for learning biology.
 
Biology on Yahoo
The Biology site for the Yahoo Directory. A good place to start. Offers keyword searching in the whole directory or you can specify a subject within the Biology discipline.
 
BioMedNet
Featuring hundreds of biological and medical publications. Abstracts (and some articles) are free. Requires a free membership (register online). Also offers access to hundreds of job listings and career resources from around the world.
 
Biosciences
A WWW Virtual Library site. A good place to start when looking for web sites in most biological divisions. A comprehensive list arranged by subjects ranging from agriculture to whale watching.
 
Biotech's Life Science Dictionary
Biotech's free online dictionary which covers mainly genetics and biochemistry, but also includes terms associated with general biology, chemistry & medicine. Brief definitions, often accompanied by illustrations.
 
Bird Links to the World
Access to Newsgroups and bird-related mailing lists.
 
Birdnet: All About Birds & Ornithology
Provides information about ornithology and thescientific study of birds. The site is a service of the Ornithological Council, a public information organization involving eight North American Professional Ornithological Societies. Also offers access to Recent Ornithological Literature Online, which is no longer being issued as a printed supplement to The Auk, The Emu, or Ibis.
 
BirdSource
Designed and managed by the National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the site offers an archive of birders' reports from around the world.
 
BMEnet
Information on biomedical engineering. Features a search engine which covers hundreds of biomedical engineering sites. Also includes a job page and links to biomedical engineering programs in the US.
