body mostly gone
cannot halt his stride
propelling him
with one step
into our modernity
But this colossus
is a dinosaur
frozen in stone
compared to the frisky
mammal at his feet
notebook in hand
He too has power
in his step. With
the lightest touch
he quickly takes notes
& places his boot
on the silent giant's
middle toe
