In 1997, the IALL membership elected to change the name for the International Association for Learning Labs to the International Association for Language Learning Technology (but retained the IALL abbreviation.)
Therefore, the following Amendment to the NEALL Constitution is proposed to change the NEALL name to reflect that of its parent organization. The current NEALL Constitution states:
ARTICLE 1: THE ASSOCIATION
Section 1: Name
The name of this self-governing organization in the North East Association for Learning Laboratories, hereafter referred to as NEALL. NEALL is an official Regional Chapter (made up of the U.S. states of Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania) of the International Association for Learning Laboratories, hereafter referred to as IALL.
