Mercredi 10:

• Travail sur le vocabulaire.

  Pour Jeudi:

  • "Activités de vocabulaire," p 97 à 98 du Cahier.
  • Labo: "Les sons du français" et "Les sons et les mots," p 253 à 254 du Cahier.
  • Go to the web address of France Télécom: http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/wbpm_pages_blanches.cgi. This is the "annuaire." Find the telephone and/or fax numbers and address for the following. Note the information and bring it with you to class:
    • Swarthmore College in Grenoble: Type in Swarthmore College for the Nom and Grenoble for Localité.
    • Marie-Christine Girard in Grenoble.
    • Hélène Cixous, world-famous author, Localité = Paris. Look around her neighborhood by clicking on the plan. Get the address and phone number of a couple of commercants in her quartier.
  • Lisez et étudiez "Structure": "Les verbes de communication," "Les pronoms d'objet indirect," et "L'accord du passé composé," p 357 à 364 de Voilà.

Jeudi 11:

• Continuation du travail sur le vocabulaire.
• Les verbes de communication, les pronoms d'objet indirect, et l'accord du passé composé.

  Pour Vendredi:

  • "Activités de Structure" et "Thème et version," p 98 à 103 dans le Cahier.
  • Labo: "Les mots et les phrases" et "A l'écoute de," p 254 à 258.
  • Study the sections "la presse écrite" and "dans le journal" in the Lexique "Les Médias, les informations et la culture." (You may also link from the Dossiers du Web, between Dossiers 25 and 26.)

Vendredi 12: Vous rendez tous les exercices (except "Et pour finir") et le labo.

• Continuation de la grammaire.
• Travail sur la presse écrite. Travail en commun sur "Et pour finir," p 104 à 106 du Cahier.

  Pour Lundi:

  • Go to the following site and send a Valentine's Day (la Saint-Valentin) card to someone--in French of course: http://WWW.annonces-directes.com/valentin.html. Be sure not to use accents in the text that will appear on the card itself. You should use accents in your message. You will be sent an e-mail message that will allow you to see the card you have sent. Print the card you have sent and any cards that you receive and bring them with you to class on Monday.
  • Dossier 26 du Web: La Presse. Browse through the quotidiens and the hédomadaires. Choose one of each and write a composition in which you:

    1. Characterize the publication: types of news, target audience, similarities to any American publications.
    2. Give a summary of the rubriques.
    3. Choose one story of interest to you and summarize it in your own words.
    4. Then imagine your own magazine. On another sheet of paper complete Exercice B. p 106 of the Cahier: "Le sommaire de mon magazine!"

Lundi 15:

• Travail avec les cartes et la presse.
• Travail de phonétique.

  Pour Mardi

  • Révisez la Leçon 14 pour un Quiz.
  • Lire et étudier "Vocabulaire" et "Notes de Vocabulaire" de la Leçon 15, p 376 à 381 de Voilà.
