Dossier 12: Un Voyage à la carte. To be completed for class on Friday, 24 October. You should "submit" your description of your destination and your "emploi du temps" before class on Friday. You should also write them down on a separate sheet of paper which you take to class with you on Friday. Where possible you should note precise times for your activities. Some helpful links when you reach your chosen site: Genève: "Situation," "Découvrir Genève," "Manifestations (and within that "Calendrier des manifestations") and "Quoi de Neuf?" Montréal: "Calendrier des événements," "Tours de ville, excursions et croisières," "Attraits," "Informations générales," and check out the "Montréal CAM" with live pictures of the city. Martinique: Listen to the history of the island. Go to "Activités." Note that the map of the island is interactive and permits you to "visit" many towns and villages.

Dossier 15: L'Heure. To be completed for class on Tuesday, 28 Octobre. Please note your responses to all the questions on a separate sheet of paper. Visit the site for Versailles to gain a general impression of the city, the palace and their history. Jot down some notes. Don't miss the "talking clock" from the Paris Observatory!

You will be assigned an e-mail partner on Thursday. You should e-mail one another on Thursday or Friday with your plans for the week-end. This e-mail would involve extensive use of the "futur proche". On Sunday night you should again e-mail one another concerning what you actually did over the week-end. This will involve use of the "passé composé". Both these messages should cover each part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening) starting with Friday night. Go into as much detail as possible. Your message should be 4 to 5 paragraphs long. You should print out this exchange and bring it with you to class on Monday, 27 October.
