January 27—February 28, 2006

Artist's lecture: Friday, January 27, 4:30 PM

Chris Staley's vessels are not merely containers, but nuanced statements about the ongoing vitality-and necessity-of tradition, craft, and human touch in the computer age. The recipient of two NEA visual artist fellowships, Staley has just completed a year-long residency at the Archie Bray Foundation, Montana. His works are included in major collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Smithsonian National Museum, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
