As of July 1, 2008, Swarthmore does not charge a transcript fee, but some transcript request and delivery options have fees associated with them.

You may request transcripts electronically on-line, or by using a paper request, see below.

Request official transcripts On-line

  • On-line transcript requests carry an additional per-recipient service charge of $2.25. Fees must be paid for by a credit card.

    • Either login to the mySwarthmore (student records) website, then link to the National Student Clearinghouse, our transcript request service. If you remember your Swarthmore ID and PIN, this is the way to go.
    • Or go directly to our online Transcript Request Service (the National Student Clearinghouse), create an account there, and request transcripts from Swarthmore College. Note: First-time users must sign a release form and fax it to the Clearinghouse, which will act on the fax immediately (during business hours), ensuring the quickest turn-around for your transcript request.
  • Express Shipping is available for transcripts requested through the National Student Clearinghouse. Express shipping is $18.00 per recipient in the United States. We use FedEx standard overnight delivery. For recipients in Canada or Mexico, the express shipping charge is $35.00 US per recipient; for all other international recipients, the express shipping charge is $50.00 US per recipient. Please note our Office Hours including our holiday schedule. No business is conducted on days or hours when we are closed. Please plan accordingly.
  • Check the status of your transcript order by returning to the Clearinghouse site.
  • Request official transcripts using paper form

  • Please use our Transcript Request Form or a signed letter. Transcript requests need your name, ID # or birthdate, year of graduation, signature of the student (or former student), reason for request and the complete mailing address of the recipient(s). Mail or Fax your signed request to the address or fax # above.

  • Transcripts are sent first class U.S. mail and we pay the postage. Transcripts are normally mailed within two business days of receiving your request.
  • Express shipping is not available for transcripts requested by fax. For mailed or in-person transcript requests, express shipping is available only if you enclose or bring your own pre-paid express mail envelope with your transcript request.
  • We cannot send official transcripts electonically.

    We do not fax transcripts.

We must have a signed request.
