Science Center Construction Begins
Students had scarcely cleared their dorm rooms for the summer when work began on the College’s new $77-million science center, scheduled for completion in April 2004.

Where has all the exuberance gone?
It was spring in the year 2000, and life, at least as defined by the state of the economy, was good. Professor of economics Philip Jefferson asks, what has become of those exuberant times?

Ambulance Service: “A Different Perspective”
The Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association has trained about 60 students as certified and experienced emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to run its ambulance.
