| This was a very beneficial day for me. Mr Jim Meckina started the day off with giving us somevery good sound advice on the basic auto mechanics. The items that he covered were the smple every day to day items that should be checkedd on a automobile. He did not just explain it to us he gave us a hands on demonstration on how and when these items should be checked or inspected and how the procedure is done. This turned out to be a very imformative session. At the same time this was being dont he had a good idea to incorporate a lot of safety factors into it. On safety he also showed us what a road side emergency kit should consist of. The next ssession was done by the Swarthmore police department who donated there time and effort to us. Officer Kline was present to give us a very good presentation and question answer session. He covered a great many things from car thief to the correct procedures on different types of driving skills, also rules and regultion and I found this to work well becuase he also told the correct ways at to rport different situations. The way police stops should be done and your rights as a citizen. I think that the way that it was presented to our group was a credit to the Swarthmore Police Department. We give our thanks to the mentioned people and a many thanks to there departments for allowing this to take place. |
