Successful Applicants are - Mid- or senior-level NGO leaders and community
activists professionals from all fields who want to enhance their leadership
skills. All fellows belong to a local Partners chapter.
They receive - Travel to Washington D.C., and 4 other sites in the Americas for
seminars, access to 2 seed funds in the amount of $1,500 each, to be used for
community development projects, leadership training and a network of
international community leaders.
How many: 40 each year. 20 from within the United States. 20 from Latin America
and the Caribbean.
What do they do: After a $500 contribution -participation 5 seminars, support in
designing and implementing a project to benefit participants community, a
leadership role in participants own local Partners chapter.
How long: 21/2 years
Program goals: To enhance the ability of citizen activists from Latin America,
the Caribbean and the United States to contextualize local problems.
Deadline: Members are nominated by local Partner chapters each fall.
