Successful Applicants are - community activists of color live in the United
States, have 10 years of work experience, and are committed to working for
social change.
They receive - $15,000 to use in any way during sabbatical.
How many: 10 fellowships each year. 5 for men and 5 for women.
What do they do: Take a sabbatical of 3 months or longer.
Program goals: To give long-time activists of color, particularly those who work
at the grass roots level with low-income people, the financial support and
freedom to take a break and recharge.
