Each year, the faculty of the College awards the following prizes:
The Ivy Award is made by the faculty each year to the man of the graduating class who is outstanding in leadership, scholarship, and contributions to the College community.
The 2005 winner was Tafadzwa Muguwe.
The Oak Leaf Award is made by the faculty each year to the woman of the graduating class who is outstanding in leadership, scholarship, and contributions to the College community.
The 2005 winner was Celia Paris.
The Lang Award was established by Eugene M. Lang '38. It is given by the faculty to a graduating senior in recognition of outstanding academic accomplishment.
The 2005 winner was Aviva Aron-Dine.
The Sarah Kaighn Cooper Scholarship, founded by Sallie K. Johnson in memory of her grandmothers, Sarah Kaighn and Sarah Cooper, is awarded to the member of the junior class who is judged by the faculty to have had the best record for scholarship, character, and influence since entering the college.
The 2005 winner was Matthew Fiedler.
The Naomi Kies Award is given in her memory by her classmates and friends to a student who has worked long and hard in community service outside the academic setting, alleviating discrimination or suffering, promoting a democratic and egalitarian society, or resolving social and political conflict.
The 2005 winner was Samuel Bell.
The Drew Pearson Prize is awarded by the dean on the recommendation of the editors of The Phoenix at the end of each staff term to a member of The Phoenix for excellence in journalism. The prize was established by the directors of The Drew Pearson Foundation in memory of Drew Pearson '19.
The 2005 winner was Benjamin Kabak.
