Deepa Ollapally

Currently a program officer for the United States Institute for Peace Special Initiative on the Muslim world, Dr. Ollapally has published books and articles on nuclear proliferation, regional security and gender in southern Asia. She taught in the Political Science department at Swarthmore College 1991-96, and has since then started an international relations program at India's National Institute of Advanced Studies. Dr. Ollapally has received many grants and awards, including ones from the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, to conduct further studies on the nuclear proliferation and cooperation in the Indo-Pakistan region.
