N.B. The British titles are not directly relevant, but may give an idea of some questions to ask concerning the social bases of eugenics in the U.S., particularly the articles by MacKenzie. Bannister, Social Darwinism, although concerned with eugenics only insofar as it relates to "social Darwinism," contains footnote references to a number of primary sources that may be useful in a broader context.
